DIY: Distressed Jeans
I saw that my mom was gathering things to donate including these American Eagle Waist Jeans so I busted out some simple sowing tools and decided to make myself (1)another (2)pair of (3)distressed jean shorts. Took me about 2 sittings and a rough total of 4 hours all together. I really wish I had the time to get back into DIYs like I did all of last summer but whatev, this satisfied my craving to do some hands on work. Enjoy!

Strawberry-Kiwi Summer Rolls | Ruche
I only just started eating cold rolls, and oh my Lord they’re delicious! I don’t know if these sweet ones would compare to the truly delicious chicken ones from my local, but they look really good right? Someone make them and tell me!
Kitchen Rolls are amazing!
Three Handy Sewing Projects
*use the pictures for guidance*
Re-Useable Kitchen Roll - Take sheets of absorbent fabric or dish towels and cut them into shape; sew two squares together into a pocket; pop a piece of multi-purpose sponge (the thin kind) into the centre of the pocket, like a sandwich; seal the pocket then repeat, make more, until you have a good sized roll of Kitchen Roll Sheets; add poppers to the corners of the sheets so they can be clipped together. When you’re done, just wash them along with your towels and other laundry :D
Storage Pouch - Gather some sturdy fabric, then cut and hem a long thick strip, from the length of one side of your bed to the other - in this case there are a few options to choose from: a) you could leave one end for the pouch and just keep the other plain but long enough to tuck under the mattress, b) you could make it long enough that it hangs down off each side of the bed, then your bed-partner can use it too or you can just have twice the pocket space ;) Now take some more fabric, possibly different fabric if you prefer a change in pattern and sew some large quite deep pockets onto the section that overhang(s). You can also add embellishment or lettering to pretty it up! Alternatively, if you prefer to make a pocket for remote controls (or even games console controllers) you could make a similar pouch but adapt the pockets to suit or make a shorter one for the arm of your sofa/couch :)
Microwaveable Heat Pack - Make a fabric pouch, use some fun and/or comforting material; the size and shape can vary to suit your needs and really depends on the surface area the heated bag is most likely to be used on so go with whatever you’d like best - as long as it can still be popped into the microwave! :) Fill the pouch with uncooked dry beans or white rice, leave a little room for move-ability, so the pouch isn’t too solid or heavy; you could also scent the filling of the bag with soothing oils like lavender but it’s not necessary; once you’re done, just sew the pouch up and you’re ready to go! Pop it in the microwave for a minute or two when you’ve got aches or pains, tummy cramps or if you’re just cold and need cosying :D
